Our journey to the land of the Himalayas was a path of learning and understanding the essence of pure nature, profound culture, and the strong faith of the Tibetan people.
In this land, healing does not come from outside but begins within a calm heart and a spirit connected to nature.
To preserve this simple tranquility and make it a part of everyday life.

SPIRITUAL OFFERING
Gompa Studio dedicated part of the proceeds from each Sand Mandala workshop to prepare an angsa offering for Lama Jampa Thokmey.
This offering reflects the faith and dedication of all participants. Afterward, Lama guided us through the monastery and shared profound teachings, which will be shared in future workshops.

Gompa Studio had the opportunity to visit the “Thiksey” Monastery, one of the sacred sites with a history of over 600 years. It is located on a small hill
surrounded by villages whose residents believe that living near the monastery is like living close to heaven.
With its architecture resembling the Potala Palace in Tibet, this place is known as the “Mini Potala.” The monastery has 12 floors
and includes 10 smaller temples within. One of the main highlights is the giant statue of Maitreya Buddha, standing 15 meters tall. On the second floor of the building, visitors can see the Buddha’s face up close, radiating grace and compassion.
Gompa Studio ได้มีโอกาสเดินทางไปยังสำนักสงฆ์ “ติ๊กเซ่” หนึ่งในสถานที่ศักดิ์สิทธิ์และมีอายุเก่าแก่กว่า 600 ปี ตั้งอยู่บนเนินเขาเล็กๆรายล้อมด้วยหมู่บ้าน
ที่ชาวบ้านเชื่อว่าการได้อยู่ใกล้วัดเปรียบเสมือนการได้อยู่ใกล้สวรรค์
ด้วยรูปทรงที่คล้ายคลึงกับพระราชวังโปตาลาในทิเบต ผู้คนจึงขนานนามที่นี่ว่าเป็น “Mini Potala” โดยภายในวัดมีถึง 12 ชั้น และประกอบด้วยวัดย่อยอีก 10 แห่ง อีกหนึ่งในไฮไลท์สำคัญคือ พระพุทธรูปศรีอริยเมตไตรยขนาดใหญ่ที่สูงถึง 15 เมตร ซึ่งเมื่อขึ้นไปถึงชั้น 2 ของอาคารเราจะได้เห็นพระพักตร์ขององค์พระที่เปี่ยมด้วย

MORNING PRAYER
The morning prayer ceremony at the Tibetan Buddhist monastery is a daily ritual for the lamas, starting before sunrise. The lamas sit in rows in the dukhang (main prayer hall) and chant ancient Tibetan prayers together to cultivate meditation and spread loving-kindness.
During the ceremony, butter tea is offered as part of the practice, symbolizing both nourishment and respect for the ritual. The chants, drumbeats, and subtle movements occur in a calm, disciplined rhythm, reflecting the way of life of the monastic community in the Himalayan highlands.
พิธีสวดมนต์เช้าในวัดพุทธทิเบตคือกิจกรรมประจำวันของพระลามะ เริ่มต้นตั้งแต่ก่อนพระอาทิตย์ขึ้น
เหล่าลามะนั่งเรียงแถวใน “dukhang” (ห้องสวดหลักของวัด) พร้อมใจกันสวดบทมนต์ทิเบตโบราณเพื่อฝึกสมาธิและส่งเมตตาจิต
ในช่วงพิธีจะมีการถวาย butter tea หรือ ชาเนยจั๋ว ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของวิถีปฏิบัติที่ถือเป็นการเติมพลังงานและแสดงความเคารพต่อพิธีกรรม
เสียงสวด, เสียงกลอง และการเคลื่อนไหวเล็กๆ ภายในห้อง ทั้งหมดเกิดขึ้นในจังหวะที่สงบและมีวินัย สะท้อนวิถีชีวิตของชุมชนสงฆ์ในพื้นที่สูงของหิมาลัย
ALCHI MONASTERY
One of the oldest monasteries hidden in the mountains, built around the 11th century, holds rare Kashmiri and Tibetan art.
Inside, ancient murals and sculptures remain remarkably intact, thanks to the use of natural pigments that have preserved their vibrant colors
for nearly a thousand years. Photography is not allowed, so visitors leave with nothing but memories.
Outside, prayer wheels line the perimeter — turning clockwise in harmony with the Dharma and the universe.
อารามกลางหุบเขาที่เก่าแก่ที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งสร้างขึ้นราวศตวรรษที่11 ซึ่งเปี่ยมด้วยศิลปะแบบแคชเมียร์และทิเบตที่หาได้ยาก
ภายในเต็มไปด้วยจิตรกรรมฝาผนัง,ประติมากรรมโบราณที่เก่าแก่และยังคงสมบูรณ์ เนื่องจากใช้สีธรรมชาติในการวาด ทำให้สีสันของมันยังคงความสมบูรณ์มาจนถึงปัจจุบัน
แม้ว่าจะผ่านมาเกือบพันปีแล้ว อย่างไรก็ตามอารามแห่งนี้ไม่อนุญาตให้ถ่ายภาพ จึงไม่มีอะไรติดมือกลับมานอกจากความทรงจำ

LAMAYURU
The first Bon monastery in Ladakh was built around the 11th century. According to legend, the site was once a sacred lake, until the revered master Naropa visited and miraculously made the waters disappear — allowing the monastery to be established.
Its original name was “Swastika,” a common Bon symbol representing eternity. Nestled among cliffs in a landscape known as “Moonland,” Lamayuru Monastery remains a living center of faith and Dharma, enduring for nearly a thousand years.
วัดบอนแห่งแรกในลาดักห์ สร้างขึ้นราวศตวรรษที่ 11 โดยตำนานเล่าว่าพื้นที่แห่งนี้เคยเป็นทะเลสาบศักดิ์สิทธิ์มาก่อน หลังจากนั้นพระนารอปะได้มาเยือนที่นี่
และเสกให้น้ำในทะเลสาบนี้หายไปทั้งหมด จนเป็นสาเหตุที่ทำให้วัดนี้ได้เกิดขึ้นมา

ท่ามกลางหน้าผาและภูมิประเทศที่เรียกกันว่า ‘Moonland’ วัดลามายุรุยังคงเป็นจุดศูนย์กลางแห่งศรัทธา และการสืบทอดพระธรรมที่มีชีวิตแม้ผ่านกาลเวลาร่วมพันปี
2000 YEARS OLD STUPA
This ancient stupa, dating back to the 2nd century CE, stands within Sani Monastery, nestled in the remote and peaceful Himalayan valleys.
More than just a structure, it symbolizes the deep faith and spiritual devotion of the region’s Buddhist community.
It is believed that this site was once a place of meditation for Guru Padmasambhava, who brought Buddhism from India to Tibet.
For this, Tibetans revere him as the second Buddha, after Shakyamuni.
สถูปโบราณแห่งนี้สร้างขึ้นตั้งแต่เมื่อคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 2 ตั้งอยู่ในวัดสานี ตั้งอยู่ท่ามกลางหุบเขาหิมาลัยที่สงบและโดดเดี่ยว สถูปนี้ไม่ได้เป็นแค่สิ่งปลูกสร้าง
แต่เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของศรัทธาและจิตวิญญาณของชาวพุทธในภูมิภาคนี้
เชื่อกันว่าสถานที่แห่งนี้เคยเป็นที่ปฏิบัติธรรมของพระคุรุปัทมสัมภวะ ผู้นำพระพุทธศาสนาจากอินเดียไปเผยแพร่ในทิเบต ทำให้ชาวทิเบตนับให้ท่านเป็นประดุจดั่ง

5 BUDDHA ROCK STATUE
The Five Stone Buddhas of Zanskar are believed to have been carved in the 8th century, during a time when Buddhism was flourishing in Tibet.
Their artistic style reflects Gandhara art, which originated in 3rd-century Afghanistan and later spread to Kashmir by the 4th century.
This sacred site is not only a cultural and artistic heritage, but also a profound testament to the spread of Buddhism and its influence across the Himalayan region.
พระพุทธรูปหิน 5 พระองค์แห่งซันสการ์ โดยเชื่อกันว่าได้รับการแกะสลักขึ้นในช่วงศตวรรษที่ 8 ซึ่งเป็นยุคที่พระพุทธศาสนากำลังรุ่งเรืองในทิเบต
